Safety Watch Christmas Edition Newsletter

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE ROPES CROSSING SAFETY WATCH SECOND EDITION NEWSLETTER 2009.

The Ropes Crossing Safety Watch Committee has been in action since July 2009 and has made some amazing safety improvements within the Ropes Crossing Community.

I acknowledge the works of Lisa Evans (Safety Watch Coordinator) Mark Grima (Safety Watch Assistance Coordinator) and Rosa Thompson (Safety Watch Secretary) for their amazing leadership roles in safety. You continue to inspire me with your dedication and continuous effort to ensuring the community is always safe. You have certainly made some great impacts within the community with the launch of the Ropes Crossing Safety Watch Packs, the safety expo, the Youth Fire Services Day, Road Safety, Christmas Safety and many more.

I would like to encourage residents who feel just as passionate about safety and security to get involved in this pro-active neighbourhood watch program. Lisa Evans will be more than willing to recruit positive and passionate residents - after all it is YOUR community and YOUR homes that you are protecting!

A special mention goes out to members of the Delfin Lend Lease team who have supported the Ropes Crossing Safety Watch program from day one,  I would like to acknowledge Natalie Jones (Project Director) and Dominic Lynch (Development Manager - Operations), your support has been appreciated by the Safety Watch Committee.

Also, a big thank you to a few other residents who have been involved in some of the initiatives listed above. I would like to acknowledge Monika Marczak (involved in the Road Safety Initiative), Renee Rendoth (Graphics Designer for the Safety Watch Pack), Ropes Crossing Youth - Katie, Byron, Pete and Brannac (the letter box drop crew).

Lastly, I must acknowledge the various groups who have supported our program in generous ways; Shanes Park Rural Fire Services, Blacktown City Council and Mt Druitt Police.

I look forward to seeing some great initiatives being implemented in 2010.

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year!
